My approach to public service started at the local level, serving on the Hazel Park City Council, as well as mayor pro tem. That experience shaped how I lead today: listening to residents, solving problems, and delivering for the community.

I know that the best solutions come from the people who live and work here, and I bring those voices with me to Lansing every day.

Making health care and mental health care more accessible and affordable
Supporting workers, fair wages, and secure retirements
Protecting civil rights and equality for all Michiganders
Strengthening local governments and bringing resources back to our communities
Protecting clean water and building resilient infrastructure

For me, this work is about bringing people together, delivering real progress, and making sure no one is left behind.
